The Use Of Post Emergence Herbicide On The Rice Field The use of post emergence  herbicide on  the rice field

As we have known , there are  normally  many groups of damaging  weeds  in the rice field   , they are categorized  into 03 groups : grasses  ( Echinochloa sp , Leptochloa chinenis ) , sedges ( Cyperus  difformis ,Fimbristylis miliacea ) , broadleaved weeds (Monochoria vaginalis , Ludwigia octovalvis  , Marsilea  minuta…) So how to do , to prevent well all above-said weeds , especially  Leptochloa chinensis at the same time  but it is still  safe for rice plant . We would like to introduce 02 new herbicides of SaiGon  Plant Protection  Company :

The Use Of Post Emergence Herbicide On The Rice Field1. PYANCHOR 3EC :

is broad spectrum  herbicide that  controls 03 groups  of above-said weeds on  the  rice field ( to use to control  weed on the direct seeded or transplanted  rice field ) ,especially  product has  very strong  effectiveness against  co gao or to be called  Echinochloa sp PYANCHOR  3 EC  is  a post emergence  herbicide  , timing application of PYANCHOR  3 EC   from  8 to 20 days after sowing  , transplanting . Weed  has  about  from 3 to 5 leaves by this  time ( in Vinh Long province , in  so  many cases that  fields have  a lot of Echinochloa sp , peasants use PYANCHOR 3 EC until 20 to 25 days after sowing  ) However;  due to climate of  winter-spring season  getting cold  in this year make weeds grow slowly , weed leaves are  till small , they get  very difficult to contact with product  so  the translocation of  product  inside of  the weed  is slow make  poor effectiveness  . As for this case , peasants should base on the number of weed leaves  for  spraying product

Reality , after spraying  PYANCHOR 3 EC( within 24 hrs ) ,weed stopped growing  and no longer compete  fertilizer with rice plant  . In addition , PYANCHOR 3 EC has striking advantages so peasants  like it :

  • ·    Product is very safe for rice plant  , until now  there is no  any case of poisoning with PYANCHOR 3 EC
  • ·    It can be used on the field s that control  as well as not control water
  • ·   Product absorbing  time is very fast , after spraying 24 hrs ,  product is absorbed by weed leaf . If  it rains  4 hrs later  , it need not  to spray again
  • ·   To spray  evenly , spray in correct technique  , it is necessary to spray PYANCHOR 3 EC once , it can control  weed  throughout the season and it needs  not to use  further any  other herbicides
Depending on  the kinds and density of weeds  on the field  in order to  use dose properly  . In case the field has 03 groups of weeds ( Echinochloa sp , Cyperus difformis , Fimbristylis miliacea , Monochoria vaginalis , Ludwigia octovalvis , Marsilea minuta  etc … )  recommended dose is 0.8 litre/ha  , dilute 20 ml/8 litre , spray 4 tanks  for 1000 m2  or dilute  40 ml/ 16 litre , spray  02 tanks for 1,000 m2  . Besides , field has much  leptochloa chinensis  (  this  weed is difficult to control , it often  grows  in high place  on the field )  peasants should spray  early about  from 6 to 10 days after sowing ( by this  phase  weed seeds  have grown on the field  wholly ) . Dose in use 1 litre/ha , dilute 25 ml/8 litre  , to spray 4 tanks for 1,000 m2 or dilute 50 ml/8 litre  to spray  02 tanks for  1,000 m2.

To take note : Because product is mainly absorbed through  weed leaves , peasants need  to sufficiently spray  recommended amount of product ( 04 tanks of 8 litre  for 1,000 m2  or 02 tanks  of 16 litre/1,000 m2) and it needs a full spray  so that product can contact with  weed leaves evenly

When spraying product , the field needs sufficient  humidity ,  if it has water , peasants should drain water out  then spray  so that product can  contact  with weed leaves evenly

After spraying from 1 to 3 days  ,  to put  water into the field and continuously  keep it  from 3 to 5 days ( the symptom after spraying product 3 days , weed  begins turning  yellow and  some  5 to 7 days  later , weed dies completely .

The Use Of Post Emergence Herbicide On The Rice Field2. PYAN PLUS 6EC:

PYANPLUS  6EC  is  formulated with two active ingredients  Pyribenzoxim and Fenoxapprop-P-ethyl (  a.i specifically controls Leptochloa chinensis ) according to  proper ratio so that  it can control both 3 groups of weeds on the field and Leptochloa chinensis  but  ensure safety and  without phytotoxicity on  rice plant as we usually see when using herbicide with Fenoxaprop -P-ethyl to be ai

PYANPLUS  6EC  is a selective herbicide(  killing  weed  , safety  for plant )  , broadspectrum  . According to many peasants , to spray PYANPLUS  6EC  in the right technique , just one spraying can control  Leptochloa chinensis  and   groups of common weeds on the field througout the season and it needs  not to use  further any  other herbicides )

Based on our study  and peasants’ experiences  , the  best  application timing of PYANPLUS  6EC  from  10 to 14  days after sowing . Because rice plant is relatively  big  at this  time  , weeds grew all  and young weeds ( 2-4 leaves )  therefore ,  weeding is very easy  . Weeding  will be safe  for  rice plant at this time , weeds  die easily  so they no longer  compete  fertilizer , water  with rice plant. In the winter-spring season ,  in the year which  weather becomes very cold smaller  than 18 o C   , the plant such as weed , rice plant ;  growth , germination  becomes  tardy so peasants can spray  later than  from 1 to 2 days ( about 11 -12 after sowing )  in order to get weeding  effectiveness better.

Dose in use : 0.5 litre/ ha ( dilute 12 ml/8 litre  , to spray  04 tanks for 1,000 m2  , or dilute  25 ml/16 litre , spray 02 tanks for 1,000 m2)

To take note :  When using Pyanplus 6 EC , peasants should  avoid  overlapping  spray  . As for  northern provinces if diurnal temperature  is too low  smaller than 15 oC  , it should not use herbicide, just use of herbicide when the weather getting warm again  so weeding effectiveness will  be high
